Wild West Town Basics Rating 

While Wild West Town is very similar to the Zynga game Frontierville, it has a nice addition that makes it unique. In the game, your task is to clear land and build a Wild West Town. The game is very story driven with multiple characters that will show up via a train and get you to perform tasks to complete your little town. Each visitor to your town will give you quests you need to complete. These quests can involve such tasks as clearing land, growing crops, or building a structure. Once you complete a task, more people will arrive in your town with a job for you. Many building also have uses such as the water tower that produces water and the oilrig that gives you oil.


Farming Rating 

Wild West Town has a farming element to it. You can plant and grow a variety of crops on your land to make money. You’ll first need to clear shrubs, rocks, cactus, and other debris out of the way, so you’ll have clear land for your crops. Each one of your crops will take a specific amount of game time to complete before it is ready for harvesting. This process is similar to the game such as Farmville.






Structures Rating 

Wild West Town has a number of different structures that are functional. For example, the cookhouse allows you to take crops and combine them together to form different rewards. If you made a light breakfast in the cookhouse this would water all your dry crops. The water well provides water for your town while the oilrig gives you oil. Other structures produce their own items as well.

Animals Rating 

In your town, you can raise animals such as chickens, dogs, sheep, cows and others. They will start as babies but grow into adults. Animals produce coins and experience for you once they are fed. Some animals will provide you extra energy too which is sued to perform tasks on your farm such as clearing land and harvesting crops.

Decorations Rating 

Like many Facebook games, decorations are available for your town. You’ll find carts, wagons, weathervane, doghouse, crates, barrels and other Wild West themed decorative items. Colored landscape titles and flowers can add to the look of your town too. Overall, the options are nice but more options would make the game better.

Quests Rating 

The best part of Wild West Town is it has story driven quests; Visitors will arrive via train and give you a part of their story. You’ll get quests from your visitors to help you build up your town and learn more about he game. These quests are ongoing and they add to the game a great deal. Quests aren’t random and all over the place like other Facebook games.

Game Play Rating 

While Wild West Town doesn’t offer anything new in terms of standard game play the story driven quests make for a nice game experience. The game does need a few more options for crops, buildings, and decorations before it can stand against some of the larger titles in this genre but overall the game is fun. If you have played Frontierville this game will feel the same to you.

Graphics and Sound Rating 

The game has nice clear graphics and they look good for a Facebook game. The game seems to load quickly and perform well. There’s a nice Western Soundtrack and overall the sound effects in the game are good. Avatars also have different faces and clothing that you can change in the game from your ranch house.

Interface Rating 

Wild West Town has an interface that is similar to many Facebook games. At the bottom, you’ll find the main icon tabs to access the game store and the pointer features such as move, rotate, or put in your inventory. There’s an inventory bag and a tool for digging. The quests tab can be found just above the main icons. The top of the page indicated your level, amount of gold, energy, and resources you currently own.

Conclusion Rating 

Wild West Twon may not be as full featured as some other Facebook games but it is still good. The quest story system makes the game fun to play. There's already some nice structures and decorations in the game. If the developers continue to support the quests system and add more content this could become a very good title on Facebook.

Sell : You can sell many things from your invetorey like extra water or prizes, care packges, and stuff for quests you allready over with accept dont sell your spare expansion petitions. there are more expansions on the way and you will need them then.

Grow Cotton: If you are rich in oil (lol) then cotton, 3 days to grow to double your money but it needs watering every hour or so and this gets you 3xp per crop.

Grow Wheat: If you have no oil then wheat, 4 hours to grow, gets you valuable xp and money and oil from digging. allso it can randomly gives you the prize winning wheat which is good for cocking the western feast.

Grow Beans: If you have energy but no time, then Beans, 5 min to grow, xp and money.

Thanks fer making Wild West Town such a fun and exciting game. We know that many of you have experienced server issues with this game. As you know this game is still in Open Beta. What does that mean? Well partners, that means our fearless developers are still out there taming the wild that is this game. And well, y'all just took to this here game so quickly that they're having to wrestle up more servers to spread the load over. So while yer out there planting crops and taming the wild west, they're working on growing servers and taming a mess o'cables and wires and things.

So Y'all just be patient and bear with us as we grow.

Q: I can't complete my mission because my friends keep stealing my crops. What can I do?

A: Before you accept any Friend Help make sure you harvest any crops needed for missions. Then accept you friends help. They already got their credit when they helped you.

Q: I clicked on my oil rig to collect my oil and my derrick disappeared.

A: Every few days your Oil Well is going to run dry. At that point your derrick is going to disappear. Use your shovel tool to dig for a new oil gusher and then build a new derrick on top of it.

Q: I just got finished a few minutes harvesting 5 of a crops. I'd already had 2 of that crop in my storage, and it still shows 2. Where did the 5 crops I just planted go?

A: When you harvest crops there is a chance that you can get a prize winning crop of that type e.g if you harvest corn then you have a chance of getting a prize winning corn. The only crops that go into your storage when harvested are the prize winning ones.

Surviving in the west is about getting along with your neighbours, and helping out whenever you can! When a new person arrives in your town, listen to what they have to say, it could be the way to push your town up to the next level. In Wild West Town, Oil is gathered by finding an oil geyser through digging, then constructing an oil derrick over top. Oil is required for more advanced purchases, like expensive livestock and larger buildings. Make sure to check your oil derrick every few hours to collect more! Supplies are needed to build virtually anything. Buildings take wood for construction; animals need food, even exotic crops need to be shipped in from far away, so make sure to collect as much supplies as possible! Supplies are found through clearing debris primarily, but lots of other actions can net you a few. What is more, Bank Notes are the premium currency of Wild West Town, and they can only be collected through special means, like purchasing from the premium page, or completing offers! Bank Notes can be traded for large quantities of any other currency, or used to purchase extravagant items directly. Notes can even be used to restore your energy to full!

Energy is needed to perform most actions in Wild West Town, and it slowly refills over time, or completely from achieving a level up. If you’re low on energy, you can also refill it by spending a few bank notes.

By completing nearly any action in Wild West Town, you will be rewarded by receiving experience points, which will be added to your total experience. Whenever you reach a certain amount of experience, you’ll achieve a new level, and be rewarded with cooking ingredients, and energy.

Click on your completed and staffed cook-house to bring up the cooking menu. You’ll see your available ingredients, a stack of recipes, and your frying pan. To start cooking, choose a recipe, then click and drag the necessary ingredients into the pan. When you have a valid recipe in your pan, the word “Cook” will appear over your pan, and clicking it will make the meal, giving its effects immediately.

The land expansion office is coming soon! Keep checking back, soon you’ll be able to expand your borders as you like!

You cannot use Facebook credits in Wild West Town, but plans are in place to allow for this very soon, keep checking back for updates!
